The Advanced Trainer

The AT-6 Texan was the most important advanced pilot trainer of World War II. Renowned for its performance and reliability, it was used by multiple military branches and allied nations around the world. Our aircraft is one of the SNJ models built specifically for the U.S. Navy during WWII.
More advanced and demanding than the BT-13, the SNJ prepared pilots for the high-performance fighters and bombers they would later fly in combat.
The CAF Wisconsin Wing's SNJ-5 is a true World War II veteran. Built in 1943, this Navy trainer served in Morocco during the war and continues flying today to help preserve and share the experience of military aviation history.
